Because of You Kelly Clarkson

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hardI've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far
I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hardI've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake a smile, a laugh
Everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I'll never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I watched you die
I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry
In the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I tried my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you ohhhhhhhhh
because of youuuuuuuuu

Because of you
I am touched by the song and Kelly's interpratation. Haven't heard such a powerful ballad for quite some time already, apart from MC's "We Belong Together". Cried a little the first few times I heard this song, especially around the last few phrases...

Back at home

The weather today has tropicalised Melbourne. I just feel like I am back in Malaysia where I sweat so easily and constantly feel sticky.

SHOWer time.

Dancing with Chris and Trenton

I have to say that getting this entry posted has taken more times that I anticipated. Several comp crashes and someone sent me a powerpoint presentation which closed every IE when it was opened. Yet I am trying again now.

This is the couple I fell in love with since day 1. They were at #1 for 5 consecutive weeks. With such a high bar set, challenges are hard to get by from other couples, as well as themselves. Having said that, they keep on trying every week and stay in the top 2 or 3 positions after the first 5 stunning weeks.

Trent is the professional dancer - he has had extensive training in dance and acting, having studied at the Bodenweiser Dance Centre, Sydney Dance Company, and The Actors Centre in Sydney. He also boasts a degree in acting from Queensland University of Technology’s Academy of the Arts.

His ballroom dancing history includes being the Australian Latin American and Ballroom Dance Champion, and representing Australian at world titles in Switzerland, Germany and England. He is a freelance choreographer and teaches Latin American and Ballroom dancing in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and North America. Did I mention that he was deliciously hot and the reason I watch the show?

Chris is the anchor of the Seven Network's national 10:30am Morning News. She was part of Seven's host team for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and co-hosted the prelude to the Opening Ceremony live on stage at the Olympic stadium, while seven months pregnant with her first child. After having son Darcy in late 2000, she returned to political interviewing in 2001 as anchor of Sunday Sunrise and stayed for three years. Darcy is sooooooo cute - he is at the show every week supporting his mommy with a fan banner. When asked what score would he give mummy, he'd say ten.

And good gracious - their rumba last night led them to another level - perfect scores from the judges! About time ain't it? Trenton has always been told that he gives very good choreography that suits both of them. Chris is the super determined lady that danced even better when she had an ankle injury!

It's the final show next week and I wont miss it for the exam. If you wanna vote for them, sms "CHRIS" to 194777 or call 1902 555 014.

Boyzone

Was listening to Mix101.1 just now - lovely adult comtemporary songs. Suddenly it was playing Tracy Chapman's "Baby can I hold you". I know that song!! It was sung by Boyzone too.

Suddenly it all came back to me. The song 's lyric is very simple yet meaningful. And more coincidentally, I could have said it to someone tonight!!! Is this a sign? Is it?

Excitedly, I asked myself would I have packed the 2 Boyzone CDs all the way from Malaysia? With almost shivering hands I opened my CD pouch and there they were!

So I now am set back in a very nostalgic mode...listening to Boyzone. Thinking about myself being a boi then, when boybands were the hottest/hippiest thing on earth. And thinking about what could I have done differently then, and also just now.

Boyzone: Love me for a reason - Let the reason be love. Their very first international hit. It was in one of the compilation albums (still in casette) that I bought. I think it was the first of the then very famous compilation series "That What I Call Music" I think. It was a green cover with some gassy drink-like bubbles.

When I say nothing at all - is when I wanna say everything to you...

Queer Eye needed down under!

I don't understand what is wrong with Channel 10 seriously... It always axes my favourite shows - first Charmed and now Queer Eye.
Instead it puts on endless crime-fighting-corpse-autopsing shows, CSI or that sort which I don't watch anyway. And also rubbish reality show like the Australian Princess. Ah duh! They don't even wanna be princesses for cryin' out lout, but for the $100k!! Only the royalties who have the time of the UNIVERSE, who can afford to drink bloody tea with million customaries, have 24 sets of cutlery on a dining table, cut-both-ends-then-roll-over-the-banana-on-a-plate table manner and bla bla...

Well those are really besides the point. While we were having BKT last night, we saw on TV that one of the QueerGuy - Carson - was coming down to Melbourne on Cup day. And JK asked how come they were no longer on TV? So I though I'd check it out since I used to be a fan. As it turns out, expectedly I might add, that the show is still going hot in the states.

Have all the Australian male species, gay and straight alike and the in-betweens, turned up a notch or two on their fashion/tzujing/food-and-wine/grooming/culture-vulture gear? We do need their queer expertise!! Hahahaha... They are fun, witty and camp and real too, apart from the really helpful and oh-I-didn't-know-that-before kind of information.

I really could use a good laugh from time to time. That is what I look forward to on watching television. Not too intelectually demanding - just light and easy infotainment will do for me. Please put them back on Channel 10. Or has the queer culture died out of heat already? We need to be fabulous. We need Fab5!!

Your MADGEsty on the DanceFloor

Yeah!! Maddy's new single is out!!! Let's hit the dancefloor.

Every little thing that you say or do
I'm hung up

Waiting for your call
Baby night and day
I'm fed up
I'm tired of waiting on you
If the material girl's having a world tour and doing Japan - she'll be down under too!!! I am not gonna miss it yeah!!
