Let's get tough, says top copper, Herald Sun

In an interview to mark her fourth anniversary as Victoria's chief commissioner, Ms Nixon also told the Herald Sun reducing the road toll was a major priority.

She wants the community to consider:

MAKING it harder to get a driving licence.

ALLOWING police to seize the cars of repeat speeding offenders.

REDUCING the power of cars able to be driven by young drivers.

ENCOURAGING parents to take a greater role in helping stop the killer problem of young people driving fast cars with distractions like loud music and several passengers using mobile phones.

TOUGHER penalties for life-threatening activities such as speeding, drink and drug-driving and not wearing seat belts.

Sounds familiar to anyone eh? Yeah, ME!!!
